Unlike the majority of the United States, which are divided into counties, the territory of Puerto Rico is divided into 78 municipalities. As of December 2019, the Paloma del Carmen Fund has awarded funds to organizations in 32 of the 78 municipalities. Those organizations include 55 farms, 5 fishing associations, and the University of Puerto Rico at Utuado, an agricultural business school.
